Saw my first tulips in bloom Friday. . .

Went for a long walk Friday and finished up at the downtown park where I was checking to see the TULIPS progress. Each Spring, there are hundreds of them in bloom there. None last week. Just this bronze statue of the girl handing the man a tulip from her collection . . .

Today, I was given a wonderful surprise. As I entered the north end of the park, my view was pretty Hyacinths.

THEN on the southern area of the park, my eyes were blessed with the first blooming tulips of the season and I eagerly snapped a few shots of the different colors available so far.

I know that in awhile, there will be many more kinds popping up. In fact, by Easter, these should be wide open and ready for another photo session with my camera. . . the anticipation is just about killing me. . . YET, tonight on the news they predict snow at low elevations for us!!!!!!!!!!!! Where was our snow in winter? I had given up on it and am enjoying SPRING now . . . or so I thought. Hope the weatherman is wrong this time much as I love snow IN WINTER!

What a treat to see all those pretty tulips in bloom! I like the statue also. Very sweet. At first glace I thought they were playing patty cake. lol. About those other flowers, are you sure they are forsythia? Around here they look very different and are yellow but then I don't recognize many flowers.

Well, as I said we had snow in Alabama in April once so you may get snow yet.
I love this park, what a beautiful place to hang out. I like the sculpture.
You live in a nice place.
I haven't seen any tulips yet. I have daffodils blooming, creeping phlox, hycinths and some other things.
I noticed my Iris have heads so they'll be blooming soon.

Thank you very much for you kind comments! I only wish I could have shown you tulips and such thing instead of crocuses and icicles!
