Blog Your Blessing Sunday #38

If you care to join us acknowledging our blessings go here: Blue Panther

Today my blessings are the paved trails I have the opportunity to walk on here in Vancouver. I haven't been to Klineline Pond and Salmon Creek Greenway for awhile because of a detour the bus had to make when the road going over Salmon Creek needed major repairs and was closed. Now I have to take two buses to get there and walk about three blocks before I spot the waterfall that always told me (in the past) we were there.

When you see this waterfall on Highway 99, you know you have arrived. . . Klineline Pond is just across the road and Salmon Creek Greenway is the walking trail in front of it.

Klineline water park. . .

Canadian Geese. . .

Mallard ducks. . .

Water sprays to cool you off . . .

Klineline pond for swimming, fishing and enjoying . . .

Mile markers beginning just outside Klineline water park. . .

Beautiful blossoms. . .

The berries are almost ripe. . .

Beautiful scenery . . .

Tall trees. . .

Pretty weeds. . .

Glimmer of sunlight OVER the bridge. . .

More beautiful blossoms. . .

A bench to rest and watch the river. . .

Straight paths . . .

Flowers . . .

Contrasting scenery . . .

Curved paths . . .

Wild daisies. . .

Flowers. . .

More flowering bushes -- these reminded me of grapes growing. . .

More flowers. . .

Long shadows looking back on a path that's almost complete . . .

Berries . . .

The end is in sight -- just up that hill. It's only been three miles and has taken me an hour and 15 minutes because I was in no hurry and besides the exercise, more photos were my ulterior motive anyway.

The sign that officially ends -- or starts -- the Salmon Creek Greenway. Time to catch a bus home!

So now I know what heaven looks like, Paulie! That first shot seemed to me like an Impressionistic painting. Simply stunning. God bless, friend.

I'm so appreciative of your photos and the walk you took us all on--what a gorgeous hike! How blessed you are to have this place available! And how blessed we are that you shared it with us!

You had me fooled about the ‘snow’ … trying to remember where it is in the world that you live … thinking it’s somewhere in Canada. Methinks I’d be sneezing with watery eyes if I’d taken that walk with you. And then I saw your reference to Vancouver. I just returned from a walk along the ocean with Molly, but I enjoyed all your beautiful photographs (especially the flowers) of a different environment than my own. I smiled at your shadow … remembering all the past photos I captured my own w/o realizing it until later. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs and blessings,

Well apparently blogger ate my comment.
I have an award for you at my place.
Loved all the nature pictures. The Raspberries and jello sound so good. We were invited for homemake ice cream by our neighbors and it sure hit the spot.

Those are some beautiful spaces! We have paved trails in Toronto... but nothing like that! That's a gorgeous park system!
