I was walking down a block in my neighborhood and was greeted by this scene. I thought it was so funny that I took a photo! I noticed later that the owners have two places "cut out" for the dog in their fenced in yard. It's not just a broken fence. Each time I go by now, the dog is there to greet me. I find it odd!

It may be odd, but how sweet to give the dog his own window on the passing scene. Can you imagine how frustrating it would be for him to be behind that solid fence and hear people [passing by and not be able to see them?
