View from my window today. . .

This is a shot through my window of the sunrise this morning.

I call this my window tree -- it reaches to the 9th floor landing and I have an 8th floor view.

This is a cone from the evergreen tree. Yesterday when the wind was blowing so hard, i thought all the cones would fall down but just a few did. Some of them ae so big they look like bananas1

When we were little, we used to collect pine cones for my next door neighbor who made the most beautiful wreaths. I don't know anyone who does that anymore.

Isn't it nice to kick through leaves, when you don't have to be the one to rake them?

It looks like the tree is turning. Is it dying?

That explains why I didn't recognize the pine cone. I don't believe we have those here in the south although we do have many pines.
I haven't done much blog reading today. I have been trying to catch up on laundry. I also wanted to get one of the Snowmen pot pads done for the give away. It didn't turn out as well as I would have liked but maybe whoever gets it won't mind putting it under a pot.
