PHOTO HUNTERS #4

Photo Hunters Website

Well, it wasn't easy to come up with something for SHINY this week. I looked everywhere I went since I always take my digital camera along. I took some photos of sunsets but the sun was too bright/shiny and they did not come out well. I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I figured if worse came to worse, I would take a photo of a shiny penny.

Then I remembered the card my friend Ronda sent me with shiny (glitter on plastic) leaves. If I could manage to take a photo of it, without the flash glare, it might work. I know, I know. Not as good an entry as my three "hairs" last week but should be acceptable. The card is really beautiful and I am going to try some before fall to send to special people. I love learning new techniques with card making but that's for my other blog so better just stick to topic of "shiny" here.

Next week's "SWEET" is going to be another challenge. Maybe I can do some people watching and find something sweet there instead of concentrating on food sweets. We'll see. . . Then again, I might dig into my photo collection.

The size of those maple leaves and 'rhodys' in Seattle would make a beautiful shot if taken after a rain or frost. I loved what I saw of Washington state!
Great entry - reminds me of my youth when we tap the red maples of Indy for sap for our pansake syrup!! Thanx for the recall of memories as well!

it's hard to shoot something reflective without getting glare -- you've captured these shiny leaves perfectly in your photo. Congrats!

It is amazing to see how many things are shiny when you actually stop to think about it... at first my thoughts naturally went to gems and money and new cars!

An excellent entry for the theme, I wonder what the leaves would of looked like if they were shot with the flash on?. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for stopping by.
