Presently, my time is limited on the computer so, try as I might, I couldn't get to all the submissions I wanted to for "hair" theme. I did make it to a lot of blogs and got quite a number of responses.
The other thing that is barring me from quality computer time is my allergies which are caused by grass this month. The weatherman said it will be three more weeks of this kind of grass growing and to expect lots of problems with it. He was sure right.
My eyes burn. They also weep and my nose needs a bucket under it and a maid to empty it frequently. sigh
I hope to get back to blogging again soon. . . got a "shiny" topic for PHOTO HUNTERS coming up this weekend.

OK, you wanted me to tell you how to do the black and white photo with just a little bit of color.
I use Photoshop. My daughter has done it in "Gimp." (A free program online, I think.)
Open the photo and then duplicate it.
Change the duplicate to grayscale. (In Photoshop it's under Image, Mode, Grayscale)
Select all of the grayscale copy. (Ctrl a)
Copy on top of the color photo. (Ctrl c)
Then select the eraser tool. You can select the size of the brush - make it small if you have a tiny spot to erase. Then click and hold and "paint" the area you want to make color.
Then save the image when it looks the way you want it to. Voila!
