Sky Watch Friday #13

Found this little bird up high in a tree on a cloudy day.

The rest of the photos were taken during my snow walk when we got our first snow last week that covered the ground and lasted for about 12 hours. I went on a hike on one of our paved trails in the city. Burnt Bridge Creek Trail

After hearing a loud noise, I looked up and spotted all these Canadian geese talking to each other.

These Canadian geese form a V to fly. When the lead bird gets tired it falls back and another takes its place.

This one looks like they are forming a heart shape --just in time for Valentine's Day!

I really liked these pictures! (The geese quite often fly in formation over my house - often so low you can hear them honking!) I particularly liked the solitary bird in the tree .. it looked a little lonely!

Thanks for the great comment on my blog.

That first shot of yours is such a beautiful silhouette.

And the V-formation is something that gets a significant mention in my first novel.
