Monday Odd Shots #3

The symbol above is for a new meme that Katney started recently .

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

First of all, let me say that I have no idea what this is for but I think it might be a marker for underground cables, etc. I am sure the pink is for identification and not a permanent marker for anything. Why did I take a photo of it? Because it was "out of place" in that environment next to the railroad tracks.

I couldn't get blogger to upload this one photo --tried for over two hours! I went to Image Shack and uploaded photo there and then used html to post it. I guess it is too big a photo for my blogger frame but I don't feel like reducing it and uploading it again so viewers will have to be satisfied with a partial photo this time.

That's perfect for the Odd Shots theme - it looks like a beached pink anemone. Great work.

It is oddly out of place, but kinda pretty! Glad you persisted in getting this cool piX posted.

Ver-r-r-ry odd! I thought it was some funky kind of plant! But then I'm so tired of snow and ice and this long long winter, I look for spring everywhere I can! Great Odd Shot!

Well, I like it because pink is my favorite and signature color. Nice shot.

No, Paulie. My balloons did not have smiley faces on them

It does look like coated wire but I don't believe I've every seen pink and it looks almost like a flower.

Now I know I'm tired. I filled in my log-in information and tried to submit. It didn't want to send a blank comment.

I've seen those markers but never got so up close and personal to take a picture. I think the way the picture cropped itself makes it all the much more dramatic.
