Blog your blessings #14

Go here if you would like to participate: Blue Panther

Saturday was my birthday and my friend Kathy/WA and her hubby came down to Vancouver and picked me up for a SNOW day at Mt. Rainier. Not only did I get to see the snow piled up there and beautifully draped over the trees but I got to try my hand at using snow shoes. It was my first time and no practice when we went with a guide on a short trek. . . (I didn't do well.) I did manage to get a few photos. . .

What a birthday blessing to have friends who know how much I love snow and take me to it. this year. Yes, I know this has been a blessing in different ways several times on my blog already but this is a different slant this time.

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; . . . Proverbs 25:13 ...

My LEAST favorite Proverb! Snow is fun to play in, but not shovel. We are getting a foot of the stuff tonight/tomorrow!

Happy BYBS!

Well, blogger finally let me add three photos. . .

I love shoveling snow, hotdogman!

I wish we would get a foot of snow here. I would travel around by bus and on foot and shovel three people's drives (people older than me) and then make a snowman and then walk around town taking photos. I am still hoping for some real snow here, not just teases like we have had.

Paulie, you are a "character"! The pictures are just beautiful. I lived in Maine for a while and always wanted to try shoe shoes but never had a chance. Glad you had a nice day!

These are beautiful photos! Thoughtful friends and snow are a wonderful combination. That's a great blessing. I guess if the Eskimos have so many ways to name the white stuff there must be as many ways to consider it a blessing!

First of all, you did fine!!! It was almost that we threw you to the wolves--drift wolves, I guess.

Second, hmmm. I think I have a picture just like that one.

We got home safe btw. It was fun, and we will have to do it again sometime.

...and there will be snow again here after a VERY warm January thaw...

I'm fine with snow, I'm NOT fine with humidity-less cold winter days.
