ABC Wednesday - Year 2 --"W"

Go here if you would like to join us for ABC Wednesday. . . Mrs Nesbitt

Last week I used my waterfall shot in VERTICAl photos so I could show my wildflowers and weeds this WEEK BUT then I panicked because I had planned to use the WORLD WAR II mural photos for "W." What to do, what to do!

I decided to make collages of the weeds and wildflowers and show the mural photo of the WAR in original size. . . Ü

WEEDS and WILDFLOWERS without names:

It doesn't do the weeds and wildflowers justice to make them so small -- some of them were just beautiful! I will have to make a choice next time, I reckon.

World War II MURAL on railroad wall. . . It isn't finished -- the artists ran out of funds and I reckon will do the rest when they get enough money together again for the paint. It is a volunteer activity. The photos that are taken at a slant are because there used to be a building close by and I couldn't take the full view up close. Today, they have demolished the building and put in grass and flowers and a walkway and there is a parking lot for the Columbian newspaper's new office building and the Hilton Hotel property so the area is very nice place to stroll through. This spring, I helped weed the area when we had a cleanup Vancouver day.

Winter beauty . . .

OK, I was out running errands and saw lots more flowers for Spring's arrival. BUT my darn batteries were dead. I don't know why -- must be something wrong with the charger because they were just charged. Oh well, this is a beauty I took and didn't get a chance to post it last month.
Sometimes dried up weeds and flowers have an interesting look for photographers. I took this photo about a month ago after the snow was all gone and I was out walking the trails, searching for something interesting.

Thanks, Sharon!

Sharon gave me this award. I appreciate her thoughtfulness. In return, give it to anyone that stops by and wants it.

Weeds or wildflowers. . .

Growing up as a Girl Scout, i remember studying outdoors about wildflowers but i only remember two of them and those were Indian Paint Brush and Bluebells. Presently, i don't think i could readily identify either but i would say, "Oh, i knew that!" if someone were to tell me what wildflower it was when naming the two above.

Having a digital camera, i take lots of photos and therefore i have taken a number of them of weeds and wildflowers. In fact, i picked some of these last Sunday and hauled them home to put in my clear wide vase that has dried rose petals in the bottom.

The rest of the wildflower/weed photos below are just neat memories of my recent walking journeys.
