Little Beggar. . .

This little beggar was not afraid of me. Instead of running away like most of the squirrels do, it must have smelled the Kettle Corn I had just purchased at the Farmers Market. Ok, so I threw it a little . . . after all, my Mommy taught me to share!

Project Yellow

Anna has a Project Yellow going on this week. I thought I would try it. . . I found out about it over at Dot's.

Click on photo to enlarge and see who's posing in front of the hydrant.

She can't see me. . .

Took this photo when I was on my snow walk in Vancouver along Burnt Bridge trail. The squirrel ran from me when I saw it and took out my camera but then it stopped almost in mid air on the side of the tree, I suppose it was pretending to be a part of the trunk??????

Nutty squirrel . . .

We have several squirrels that hang out around our apartment building because some Russian ladies feed them! These wild creatures come right up to me to beg for food. I don't have any -- that's a camera in my hand! Ü

Anyhow, they can be really fast little buggers if they know you don't have food for them. I think I tried to get about 12 photos and these were the only ones that even came out without a blur.

This and that and a few more squirrels too . . .

View looking towards Portland from across the Columbia River on the Vancouver side.

Good day for sailing!

View between the trees.

Closeup of the statue of Ilahee along the walking path parallel to the Columbia River.

Saw this little squirrel on the way to the bus stop on a Sunday morning.

Doesn't this fella look like its ready to attack?

This squirrel thought it was going to hide from me but I got it anyway. Squirrels blending into trees isn't too easy.

Next, it decided to hide in the corner of the bank building but I found it.

Closer view.

Guess it decided that I wasn't going to hurt it and it continued on its way.

It's that lady with her camera again!!!!!! RUN. . .

"Ha ha, I run so fast that lady can't get a good photo of me. I have a talent of hanging on the trees with my back feet so I can hold this nut at the same time."

"I don't care if that lady has a camera. . . it's my lunchtime and this acorn nut tastes pretty dandy!"

"I'm tired of posing. . . try this view."

"Will I Get a Photo Of That Squirrel Before it Runs Away?" Quick, get your camera out!

I told myself, “Quick get a shot off before it runs away.” I needn’t have worried as it decided to put on a show for me that morning.

Tail got cut off because I was in too much of a hurry thinking MR SQUIRREL was going to run away. . .

”Maybe if I don’t make eye contact with that lady, she will take her camera and go away. . . I’m having a bad photo day.”

”OK, if she isn’t going to leave, I will stand very still and maybe she will think I am a statue and go away after all. I mean, how many photos of a statue would one want?”

”It didn’t work. OK, giving her the BACK treatement!”

”Darn! She’s still there. Is she nuts or something? I would like some nuts for a snack about now. . . maybe I should go elsewhere -- it’s obvious she doesn’t have any nuts for me. It’s even more obvious that she isn’t about to stop taking photos of me. OK I'm outta here!”

Battleship Ron made my photo sequence into an animated gif :
