ABC Wednesday - Year 2 -- #13 and Project Yellow 2

Please SCROLL down for
Project Yellow

Go here if you would like to join us for ABC Wednesday. . . Mrs Nesbitt

This is called hairpin LACE crochet. You can see in the photo above, a close up of the rows of hairpin LACE that make up the baby blanket. I still have to finish the edges.

The tool for Hairpin LACE is a simple machine -- here, it is showing how I single crochet up the middle of it and the rows of LACE it makes..

These are 3 hats and scarves made of Hairpin LACE that I made for an orphanage in Mexico. We sent them 100 sets. I got in on the tail end of the project.

Some of the Hairpin LACE scarves I made for the Veteran's Hospital Bazaar and for the Valentine Red Scarf Project for orphans and foster kids in college.

Project Yellow 2

These famous arches are yellow and they have a friend on top too -- if you want to enlarge, click on the photo.

If you want to play, go here: Anna has a Project Yellow going on this week.

not heard of hairpin lace - my wife used to do bobbin lace and when she could no longer do that did crochet for a while.

I must say that in the subject you have chosen I'm somewhat of an incompetent. However, even I can see that it demands an impressive patience and skill to practice this art.

A Great L!

My L is here

I've never tried hairpin crochet. It looks like it takes a long time and a lot of work. I always liked basic crochet because I only ever had one stitch to drop at a time!

Beautiful scarves. The hairpin lace scarves look difficult to make. You should be very proud of your skills.

I kind of like this MeMe where you take photos of a certain color.

I think maybe I'd like to learn this hairpin lace crochet. It looks like it would go fast.

Yesterday, I went for a wonderful walk in the old town of Madison where I used to live. Not in the old town. I love it though because it has the atmosphere of an old town but is very conveinent to everything else. I would like to live there. I will post pictures soon. It was a lot of fun.

Part of my problem with my eating was that one day I binged. Have you ever done that. Well, the combination of foods I ate and the amount had a adverse effect on my digestive system so I paid for it big time. I have IBS and when I'm eating right, it gives me no problem.
This weekend for four days I didn't track so I wasn't expecting a loss.
I'm doing better. I walked again this morning.
I hope you're able to get out. Thanks for your loyalty, my friend.
