ODD SHOT MONDAY
The symbol above is for a new meme that Katney started recently .
A week ago these stacks of rocks were not there by this neighborhood bulletin board at a corner in the Arnada neighborhood. Either someone has too much time on their hands or it was a project of some group of kids. . . either way, it is very odd to see.

Cute as well as odd.
Amazing! Would have been a fun explanation to any child, how they got there!
Reminds of a "home-made" version of the famous Chinese terracotta figurines.
It seems you also have artists who use pebbles!...
Mary
Great odd shot from you today. May be you have a ABCW = Variety already prepared
They make me think of hiking cairns or of Buddhas. The earliest Buddha figures were made from stacked stones. Hmmm.....
Odd - yes, certainly. But I rather like them. At a quick glance they look like figures. I suppose, unless they're well fixed down, they won't last very long.
They look like stylized wee animals waiting to cross.
Those little cairns are so neat. But odd that they should appear out of nowhere :)
Odd... but I like it!
This I Do...
It is odd but kind of cool too! Have a fun week Paulie!
Looks like a beautiful sculpture garden to me ...... great shot!
Kind of clever and artistic ... I wonder if they will stay or disappear or be added to ... you must check and let us know

I think they're very cool. Good, clean fun for someone(s). Imaginative, to say the least.
It could be that loose rocks cannot resist stacking themselves during the dead of the night when no one is watching.
I enjoyed seeing your Odd Shot.
Those really are odd, I bet it was some bored kids.
Well, I cam by last night, but maybe I was too tired to comment. That's odd in iteslf.
The books on my odd shot are not mine. They are, as I mentioned, "when two libraries combine", books of my son and his significant other that found themselves together when they combined households. She a scientist, he an artist into weird reading. The keeping order in the library idea did not strike me, and could have, as he is, by trade, a bookseller.
They would be called cairns. You build a cairn when you want to show someone on a trail which way you've gone. I don't know why these were built here... :)
Some artwork of kids, lol ! rather cute !
Cool! Must be on the same wavelength, as I posted "rock art" for Odd Shots today as well.
Very clever! Most enjoyable.
They look like people in a strange way but very creative.
Mama Bear
I like these!
I remember seeing an article years ago about an artist who does these at the beach.
I don't know if this is the one (probably there are many), but this man also makes these gravity-defying rock stackings.
So interesting.
